Another good way to hold and secure your camera while taking photographs is to use clamps. Camera clamps have mounts which screw into the camera's tripod hole or socket. The clamps also have jaws which can be clamped to a steady nearby object. You can attach your camera support clamps to many items such as pieces of furniture, doors, posts, fences and other assorted points that can act as firm anchors. Some models of camera clamps come with suction cups attached so you can mount your camera on a flat, smooth surface such as a window or a wall. Clamps come in various sizes and styles.
Make sure the clamp is strong enough to hold your camera. You should be able to find clamps for under $20.
