If you want to take photos in rapid succession with a manual film camera you can attach an adjustable speed motor drive, or booster as they are also known, to the bottom of the camera. These drives will let you take single frame and serial frame shots of multiple frames per second. Many models have their own grips with shutter buttons and other controls on them. They are suited for vertical and horizontal shooting and for shooting rapidly moving subjects to catch the action.
Motor drives are battery operated. Automatic film winders are also available which can be attached to the bottom of your manual camera. Some high end motor drives have auto winding included. If you are filming wildlife you should look for a quiet motor drive or winder.
Motor drives range in price from about $50 to $1,000.
