Nikon makes a wide range of digital cameras from point and shoot models aimed at hobbyists to a series of single lens reflex cameras aimed at more serious photographers and professionals. Nikon's Coolpix line of point and shoot cameras, including the 8800 and 4600 models, is quite popular as is the D70 SLR camera. The D2H SLR model is aimed at photo journalists and sports photographers.
Some SLR cameras and lenses are sold separately while some may include a lens, such as the D70. Most point and shoot models come with batteries, a USB cable, video cable, wrist strap, software CD-ROM and a user's guide. Most SLR cameras also come with a body cap, battery chamber cover, battery charger, LCD monitor cover and audio/video cable. The D70 (with a lens) also includes an eyepiece cap, a lens cap, lens hood and a lens case. The company also makes a line of lenses, flashes, printers and underwater camera housings. It also offers rebates on some cameras and has an online support, registration and information site for its products. Most Nikon cameras come with a one year limited warranty in the USA. Extended plans may be available.
