Video Editing

If your ambition is to be the next Steven Spielberg you will more than likely have to master the art of video editing. This involves selecting, arranging and modifying the filmed images and sound you have recorded on video tape. Years ago, video editing was similar to film editing as the video tape had to be physically edited by cutting and splicing the tape. This process was called linear editing. These days, things are much easier as you can edit your video on a computer, as long as you have the right software and a video editing or capture card. This is called non-linear editing, and it means you can put any film frame next to any other frame. You can import digital and analog video into a computer through various sockets on most video editing cards. You can then edit the video before saving it and transferring it to a storage device.
