Focus Free Lenses
There are some cameras that you don't have to focus. The focal point of the lens will be fixed at a distance and it will be already focused. You won't be able to change the settings on these lenses. These types of cameras are usually disposable cameras or lower priced point and shoot or compact models. The lenses are usually wide angle and also come with a fixed aperture.
Focus free lenses depend on depth of field to create good sharp images. Most focus free cameras generally have a small aperture which increases the depth of field. These cameras usually use a viewfinder for composition purposes. They are more or less automatic because there's no manual manipulating involved with them. Focus free cameras are quite inexpensive to make, so they don't cost too much to buy.
Make sure you are at the proper distance to get your image in focus as they are usually unable to get sharp images close up and they can't fill the frame with a persons face and focus it at the same time.
Some disposable cameras can be bought for less than $10.
