Time Lapse Photography
Time lapse photography occurs when you set your camera to take photographs at certain time intervals. The camera will take a series of images every 10 minutes, every hour or whatever interval you set it at. If you play the images back at a faster rate of speed it will create an illusion of time passing quickly. This type of photography is often used on television to show a building being constructed or traffic situations etc. It is also ideal for sunsets, cloud movement and other nature shots.
Time lapse photography can be accomplished with film cameras, but it's easier to do with digital photography. A lot of digital cameras are available with software, which can control the camera enabling you to set a time interval for your photos. When you have them you can organized the images into a movie file. You can also make time lapse movies by removing frames from an ordinary video camera. However, still digital cameras can give you higher resolution images for high definition movies.
